The New York State AFL-CIO Announces Its Political Endorsements At The COPE Convention In Albany

(ALBANY, NEW YORK) - The 2.5 million Member New York State AFL-CIO has announced endorsements of candidates running for Congress, State Senate and Assembly. The endorsements took place at the State Federation’s 2026 Committee on Political Education (COPE) Convention at the Albany Capital Center. Delegates representing Union Members from the Public Sector, Private Sector and Building Trades attended. New York State AFL-CIO Mario Cilento said: “We endorse these candidates with great confidence that they will fight hard on issues that will impact the lives and economic well-being of Working People. Through our enhanced Member-to-Member program, we will knock on more doors, make more phone calls and send more texts to ensure we elect candidates who share our vision for the future.” Earlier this year, the State Federation announced endorsements for races that had primary elections.
