(BUFFALO & ROCHESTER, NEW YORK) - The Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) is partnering with the New York State Department of Civil Service in the opening of new computer-based testing centers in both Buffalo and Rochester.

Western Region Treasurer Bob Pazik represented CSEA at the Buffalo ceremony (Pictured Above/CSEA-Provided Photo), while Western Region Executive Vice President Tim Finnigan attended the Rochester opening.

These centers, among 12 that will be opening across the State by the end of 2027, will provide modern and convenient access to State Employees seeking to further their careers by taking promotion exams, while allowing interested candidates to self-schedule their own tests.

CSEA has partnered with Governor Kathy Hochul’s Administration to improve Worker recruitment and retention efforts, including through reforms to Civil Service.

CSEA President Mary Sullivan said: “CSEA applauds the State’s continued efforts to address retention and improve the outcome by opening modern, computerized testing facilities. This is a much-needed positive step forward to keeping State Employees and making it easier for them to advance their employment through Civil Service.”
