The International Federation Of Professional & Technical Engineers Organizes More Than 100 NOAA Fisheries Workers In Hawaii

Workers employed by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Fisheries Pacific Island Region in Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa and CNMI have voted -overwhelmingly, to be represented by International Federation of Professional & Technical Engineers (IFPTE) Local 8A. Local 8A President Nick Tolimieri said: “Local (8A) congratulates the (126) Federal Employees at the Pacific Island Fishery Science Center and Pacific Islands Regional Office locations for voting to join Local (8A).  It is as important now more than ever Federal Employees band together and strengthen not only our working conditions - but protect the vital work that we all perform on behalf of American taxpayers. We look forward to getting the bargaining process started.”
