Writers Guild Of America East Members At CBS News 24/7 Reach Tentative Agreement With CBS/Paramount Management On A New Three-Year Contract
(NEW YORK CITY)— Writers Guild of America East (WGAE)-represented Members at CBS News 24/7 have reached a tentative agreement with CBS/Paramount management on a new three-year contract. The 60-Member CBS News 24/7 Union and the WGAE Council’s Broadcast/Cable/Streaming News Sector Representatives will vote to ratify the contract in the coming days. Full details of the agreement will be released upon ratification. The tentative agreement follows a 24-hour walkout by Members in New York City and San Francisco, a Strike Pledge signed by 95% of the Unit and more than 3,000 solidarity letters sent to management from Journalists and Labor Supporters across the industry.
