The UAW ‘Defends’ Member Who Called Trump A “Pedophile Protector’ That Prompted A ‘Middle Finger Salute ‘From The President - TJ Sabula Says He “Has No Regrets” As Ford ‘Suspends Him From His Job’ At Its Dearborn, Michigan Plant

(DEARBORN, MICHIGAN) - The Ford Factory Worker who called President Donald Trump a “pedophile protector” has been suspended by the Automaker, but TJ Sabula says he has “no regrets” about the incident as the United Auto Workers (UAW) defended their Union Member’s freedom of speech.

Laura Dickerson, who serves as the UAW’s Ford Department Director, released the following statement regarding the 40-year-old Sabula: The Auto Worker at the Dearborn Truck Plant is a proud Member of a strong and fighting Union - the UAW. He believes in freedom of speech, a principle we wholeheartedly embrace, and we stand with our Membership in protecting their voice on the job. The UAW will ensure that our Member receives the full protection of all negotiated contract language safeguarding his job and his rights as a Union Member. Workers should never be subjected to vulgar language or behavior by anyone - including the President of the United States.

In an interview with The Washington Post after the viral back-and-forth, Sabula identified himself as the Factory Worker who shouted at the President.

“As far as calling him out, definitely no regrets whatsoever,” Sabula, a Member of UAW Local 600, told The Post.

Sabula added, however, that he is concerned about the future of his job and thinks he’s been “targeted for political retribution” for “embarrassing Trump in front of his friends,” The Post reported.

“I don’t feel as though fate looks upon you often, and when it does, you better be ready to seize the opportunity,” Sabula told the news outlet. “And today I think I did that.”

During a tour of the Ford F-150 plant in Dearborn on Tuesday (January 13th), Trump was captured on video pointing at a Factory Worker and mouthing “f‑‑‑ you” twice in his direction.

Trump then flipped the Worker off before continuing on his tour of the plant.

Moments earlier, an individual can be heard off camera shouting “pedophile protector” at the President.

Sabula told the Post that his remark was a reference to Trump’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Since his suspension, a GoFundMe Page has raised several hundred dollars to support Sabula.
