Nearly 400 Springfield, Missouri 3M Workers ‘Go Union’ With The United Steelworkers
Nearly 380 Workers at 3M’s Springfield, Missouri Facility have voted to join the United Steelworkers (USW), marking a major win for the Plant’s workforce and a strong addition to the Union’s growing Chemical Sector. The Springfield Facility produces a wide range of adhesives, sealants and other specialty products that supply key industries, including automotive and aerospace manufacturing. Workers there play a critical role in keeping production lines running across the country, and their vote signals a clear desire for a stronger voice on the job. With this victory, the Springfield 3M Workers join thousands of USW-represented 3M workers nationwide. USW International Secretary-Treasurer Myles Sullivan said: “The Union has long been a leader in the Chemical Industry, and the addition of these new Members further strengthens the USW’s ability to advocate for safer workplaces, consistent training, improved staffing and long-term job security across the sector.”
