Wells Fargo Staff In Connecticut Files For Union Election

Wells Fargo Workers employed at the North Colony Branch in Wallingford, Connecticut are the latest to go public with their campaign to form a Union with Wells Fargo Workers United-Communications Workers of America (WFWU-CWA) Local 1298. The Workers Recently sent a letter to Wells Fargo CEO Charlie Scharf announcing their National Labor Relations Board Election filing and urging their employer to voluntarily recognize their Union. The letter also detailed concerns around staffing shortages, low wages and a lack of a voice on the job. Max Saldanha, a Local 1298 Member and Associate Personal Banker, said: “We are coming together to form a Union because we ultimately want dignity and respect for ourselves and the work we do. If we are to be regarded as Financial Professionals, then we should be treated and compensated as such. We shouldn’t have to be afraid to come to work and hope only that we’re not let go. We’re coming together so that we can be a stronger team and advocate for our rights and achieve what we deserve.”
