The Faculty Federation Of Erie Community College ‘Overwhelmingly Ratifies’ A New Five-Year Contract
(BUFFALO, NEW YORK) – Members of the Faculty Federation of Erie Community College (FFECC) have ratified a new five-year contract with Erie Community College that marks a significant milestone for the institution, its Faculty and the broader College Community, Union Officials said.
The agreement was ratified by FFECC Members by a 94% margin and unanimously approved by the State University of New York’s (SUNY) Erie Board of Trustees.
The agreement reflects a shared commitment to collaboration, fiscal responsibility and student success, as well as providing stability for nearly 400 Faculty Members while supporting the College’s long-term strategic goals, the Union said.
FFECC President Andrew Sako released the following statement: “This is a fair contract for both parties and recognizes that our Members are the backbone of this institution. I look forward to continuing our work with the College Administration, now that we have stability for the next five years. I also extend my thanks to County Executive (Mark) Poloncarz and to everyone involved in reaching this agreement.”
