Vermont State University Sees 40% Enrollment Growth In Its Plumbing & Electrical Apprenticeship Programs
Vermont Business Magazine reports Vermont State University (VTSU) has announced its Plumbing and Electrical Registered Apprenticeship Programs have grown by 40% since 2021. Enrollment for the current academic year is at a record high of more than 914 Apprentices - 90% of whom are Vermont residents. VTSU President Dave Bergh said: “Skilled Workers are in high demand across the State. And with the hands-on experience and training offered by VTSU’s Registered Apprenticeship Programs, more Vermonters are getting the education and skills they need to succeed in these high-demand industries. This program and its growth are a success story. Registered Apprenticeships strengthen the Trades Workforce in Vermont, expand opportunities for meaningful work and good paying jobs for program graduates, and increase the number of Workers in these desperately-needed industries.”
