The State of Arizona Promotes A Jet Aviation Aircraft Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Program
AVIATIONPROS reports Jet MX, Incorporated has received recognition from Arizona’s Department of Economic Security (DES) for its Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) Apprenticeship Program. Jet MX is based at the Phoenix-Goodyear Airport and operates as a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 145-certified Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul). The Apprenticeship Program is certified by Arizona’s DES. It’s a three-year program that meets FAA requirements to get a Mechanic’s Certificate. The Aviation Industry is facing a severe shortage of Aircraft Mechanics and this Apprenticeship Program “is a great way to help our industry fill that need that is coming,” Program Officials said. “Registered Apprenticeship helps employers build and train the next generation. DES supports employers through the process of building high quality, nationally-recognized Apprenticeship Programs. With mentorship from seasoned Mechanics, Apprentices gain skills, confidence and an ability to maintain and repair airworthy aircraft,” they added.
