Laborers’ International Union Of North America President Brent Booker ‘Hits ‘Trump On ‘Loss Of Clean Energy Jobs’ - “It’s Un-American”

Mona Zhang at POLITICO reports New York Governor Kathy Hochul says the State has lost more than 6,500 clean energy jobs and $2.5 billion in investments as a result of Federal energy policies. Overall, nearly 159,000 jobs and $52 billion in investment have been lost or delayed, impacting more than 300 energy projects across 34 States, according to a new report from the Advocacy Group Climate Power. Meanwhile, household energy prices have risen 11% on average since President Donald Trump took office. Laborers’ International Union Of North America President Brent Booker said: “There’s no such thing as a Democratic job or Republican job. To hear this White House, this President talking about, ‘We’re going to cancel Democratic jobs’ - that’s un-American.” Booker said some of LIUNA’s Members voted for Trump but did not vote for losing their jobs: “The chaos that’s coming out of Washington is no strategy for energy independence. It’s no strategy for energy dominance.”
