A Tool Kit From The National AFL-CIO To Help Spread The Word To Working People To Tell President Trump & Congress To ‘Settle A Deal That Prevents Health Insurance Price Hikes & Gets Federal Workers Back On The Job’

From the National AFL-CIO: Last week, we saw yet another disgusting example of how little the Trump Administration cares about Working People. The dedicated Americans who show up every day to keep our essential services running have been villainized over and over by corrupt billionaires since Inauguration Day. Union Members who help our seniors get their Social Security checks, care for Veterans who return from duty with health complications and act as Watchdogs for worker safety have been living in limbo for months while their agencies are broken down and sold for parts. And now President Trump and his allies in Congress have turned them into pawns in a political game so they can gut the Affordable Care Act, forcing millions off their insurance and driving up health care costs for everyone. Nearly 750,000 Federal Workers are missing paychecks every day this shutdown drags on, being forced to make impossible choices between putting food on the table and covering bills. Working People and our families are not bargaining chips. The Labor Movement refuses to stand by while Members’ lives are toyed with as we approach a looming health care crisis. It’s time for Trump and Congress to get to work and settle a deal that gets Federal Workers back on the job and prevents these insurance price hikes. You can find our tool kit here to spread the word about what's at stake in this fight and take action.
