‘Believed To Be The First Of Its Kind In The U.S.,’ CTI ‘Launches’ U.S. Department Of Labor Registered Audiovisual Apprenticeship
Alyssa Borelli at The Commercial Integrator reports CTI, Commercial Integrator’s 2025 Integrator of the Year, has launched a ground-breaking Department of Labor-Registered Apprenticeship for Audiovisual Technicians (Avs), aimed at developing skilled professionals without the need for a college degree. Announcing the initiative on LinkedIn, CTI CEO and President John Laughlin, emphasized the importance of attracting new talent to the AV Industry. “We need fresh blood in the AV Industry,” Laughlin said, highlighting the company’s efforts to showcase career opportunities through programs like its summer internship for college students. The new two-year Integration Tech Apprenticeship builds on that mission, offering eager and tech-driven individuals the chance to gain hands-on experience and training - debt-free. “I believe it is the very first of its kind in the U.S.,” Laughlin said.
