183 Pollard Banknote Workers ‘Go Union,’ Join The Teamsters

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Workers employed at Pollard Banknote - including Press Operators, Machine Technicians and Assistants and Folder Operators and Assistants who produce lottery tickets that are used by several States and countries - have overwhelmingly voted to join Teamsters Local 337.

Pollard Banknote Workers joined the Teamsters to secure strong Union representation that will help them ratify a contract guaranteeing them higher pay, better benefits and improved working conditions.

“Before this campaign, it seemed like the enthusiasm in our plant was hanging on by a thread, but joining the Teamsters lit a fire under us, and it’s been a breath of fresh air,” said Jeremy Helton, a 10-year Maintenance Technician and new Member of Local 337. “Being a Teamster means the world to my Co-Workers and me. We run this shop (24/7) and now we can work together to make sure we’re compensated fairly for it.”

Teamsters Local 337 President Todd Lince said: “Local (337) and I are thrilled to welcome (our) new Brothers and Sisters of Pollard Banknote into our Union. Our Organizers and Organizing Committee were indispensable throughout this campaign from day one until we declared victory. Now we’re ready to keep the momentum growing.”

The Teamsters represent 1.3 Members in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
