Starbucks Baristas ‘Strike At More Than 50 Stores Across The U.S. Due To New Company Dress Code’

Seeking Alpha reports Starbucks Baristas employed at more than 50 stores across the U.S. have gone on Strike, triggered by the Coffee Chain Giant's new dress code policy, which requires Employees to wear solid black tops and blue, black or khaki bottoms. Many Baristas argue this policy imposes an unfair financial burden, as they are only provided with two company shirts and must purchase additional clothing themselves if they work multiple shifts. On a Social Media post, Starbucks Workers United - the Union representing more than 11,000 Workers at more than 570 stores, said: "Workers shouldn't need to spend $$$ out-of-pocket to replace perfectly good shirts, pants and shoes when we’re already struggling to get by."
