The New York State Department of Labor Announces $2.5 Million In Grants To Help Expand Apprenticeship Programs Across The State

The New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) has announced $2.5 million in funding to support expanding Registered Apprenticeship Programs across New York State. Registered Apprenticeships are a proven pathway to high-paying, in-demand careers and are vital to businesses in search of a talented workforce trained to their specific needs. The grants directly support businesses, educational institutions and non-profits in delivering high-quality training programs focused on enhancing job readiness, closing skills gaps and promoting career advancement. NYSDOL Commissioner Roberta Reardon said: “As the world of work evolves, Registered Apprenticeships continue to open doors across the economic spectrum to unprecedented career pathways for New Yorkers.
