The Boilermakers & Laborers Are Among Several Recipients Of Grants Totaling $1 Million That Were Announced By Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs To ‘Expand’ Trade Apprenticeship Programs Across The State

Roxanne De La Rosa at KTAR.com in Phoenix reports Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs has announced a $1 million in funding that will go toward expanding Trade Apprenticeship Programs across the State. The funding is in partnership with the Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) and the BuildItAZ Apprenticeship Initiative, which is an effort to create a pipeline of skilled Workers through Construction and Trade Apprenticeship Programs. The initiative has provided close to 3,000 Arizonans with Apprenticeships, according to the Governor’s Office. Two Building Trades Unions - Boilermakers Local 627 and the Laborer’s Training School and Retraining Trust Fund, received funding.
