New York City Transit Museum Workers Join TWU Local 100

Transit Workers Union (TWU) Local 100 has successfully organized three dozen Workers employed at the New York Transit Museum through a Voluntary Recognition Agreement with management. Workers cited several key issues that drove their decision to Unionize: Low wages; the reassignment of some full-time Employees to part-time status; and a loss of benefits without any corresponding wage increases. By joining TWU Local 100, these Workers stood together to demand fair treatment and a voice on the job. The New York Transit Museum, located in a decommissioned 1936 Subway Station in Downtown Brooklyn, is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the history of mass transportation in New York City
