Unionized Aramark Workers Employed At Philly Stadiums Reach Tentative Contract ‘To Secure Raises & Health Care’ - Deal Includes ‘Hourly Pay Bumps’ Of Up To $6 & Offers Benefits To Most Employees ‘For The First Time’

Michael Tanenbaum at the PhillyVoice reports Unionized Aramark Workers employed at Citizens Bank Park, Lincoln Financial Field and the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract with the Food Service Provider, striking a deal that will include raises up to $6 an hour and health care benefits that most will be receiving for the first time, Unite Here Local 247 officials announced. If ratified by Union Membership, it will end more than two years of negotiations that led to three Strikes among 2,000 Aramark Union Employees. The Union represents Aramark's Food and Beverage Workers, Utility Workers and others employed under three separate contracts for each of the stadiums at the Sports Complex in South Philly. “These are historic contracts that win health insurance access for hundreds of Workers who had none," Local 247 President Rosslyn Wuchinich said.
