‘Aspiring’ Tradespeople ‘Now Have A New Opportunity To Jumpstart’ Their Careers As The Tompkins (County, New York) Build Pathways To Apprenticeship Program Begins Accepting Applications

Aspiring Tradespeople have a new opportunity to jumpstart their careers through the Tompkins Build Pathways to Apprenticeship Program. The Ithaca (New York) Area Economic Development is now accepting applications for the 11-week paid Training Program, which begins March 31st at the UA Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 81’s Training Center. The deadline to register is Friday, March 21st. The program, offered in partnership with the Tompkins-Cortland Building Trades Council, provides hands-on training, classroom instruction and direct engagement with Local Building Trades Unions to prepare participants for careers in the Construction Industry. Classes run until June 12th. Taught by active Union Members, the program includes visits to up to 10 different Union Training Centers, giving participants exposure to multiple career paths.
