Panasonic & Community College Partner On A New Apprenticeship Program ‘That Can Lead To Employment’ At Its Electric Vehicle Battery Plant In Kansas

KSHB-TV reports Panasonic and Community College have partnered on a new Apprenticeship Program that can lead to employment at its Electric Vehicle Battery Plant in De Soto, Kansas. Panasonic Facility is expected to open this Spring and wants to have 1,000 Employees hired by Summer. Panasonic's overall goal is to reach 4,000 Employees. A partnership between the company and Johnson County Community College will train the EV Battery Plant’s future Employees in the community where they’ll bring their work. Pay ranges between $20 and $30 an hour, as well as a package of comprehensive benefits, Officials said.
