Maine’s WGME-TV reports Stagehands employed at Portland’s State Theatre and Thompson’s Point have voted to form a Union.  The Production Crew is organizing with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 114, which is based in Portland.  The Stagehands say Working People in many industries are struggling to keep up with the rising costs of living - as they areAnd they say Unionizing is their best shot at collectively negotiating decent salaries and benefits.
