Truck Driver ’Changes His Career Via Unique’ Apprenticeship Offering

For 20 years, Timothy Duhart worked as a Truck Driver, but something else also made him curious. "I've always been interested in this side of trucking (being a Diesel Technician)," Duhart shared. "I've had my CDL for twenty years, and, as a young guy, I wanted to do this first, but I had responsibilities." Now, through a unique partnership between Coca-Cola Consolidated, Red Classic Transportation and Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC), Duhart transformed his career and fulfilled a long-held dream. Graduates of the two-year Diesel Technician Program can expect to start their careers with an annual salary of around $50,000, plus benefits.
