Noguchi Museum Staff Petition For A Union Election

Staff at the Noguchi Museum in Long Island City have petitioned the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) for a vote on Unionization with United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 2110.  The wall-to-wall Unit that Local 2110 has petitioned for includes Educators, Gallery Attendants, Curatorial Staff, Archivists, Retail, Warehouse, Facilities and Other Administrative Staff.  The Museum is the latest in a growing movement of Museum Workers to organize.  The Staff cited a need for greater transparency and better conditions as reasons for Unionizing.
