The State Of Maryland ‘Debuts Historic Public Procurement’ Apprenticeship

Maryland Governor Wes Moore has announced the launch of the Future of Procurement Apprenticeship Pilot Program, marking the Nation’s first Apprenticeship initiative dedicated to public procurement.  It positions Maryland as a leader in workforce innovation and economic development. The program is designed to create pathways to public service careers by providing participants with the skills and credentials needed for procurement roles within State Government.  “As Governor, I want to make sure that all Marylanders can access work, wages, and wealth - no matter the shape or structure of their journey,” Moore said. “Our Administration is proud to make history once again with this pace-setting program that will grow opportunity for our entire State.  Together, we are leaving no one behind.”
