Elevator And Escalator Installation & Repair, Subway & Streetcar Operators - ‘Two Of The Five In-Demand Jobs You Don't Need A College Degree To Pursue’

Kayla Jimenez at USA TODAY reports fewer Americans are enrolling in traditional four-year colleges and more are seeking affordable routes to a career.  New national data shows a 5% dip this year in freshman enrollment compared with last Fall.  A Pew Research Center Poll found more Men than Women are opting out of college.  Many careers that don't require a degree offer a livable wage but require an Apprenticeship or Training Program for technical skills.  USA TODAY explored some of the careers the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics says are growing in demand.  Those fields include: Elevator and Escalator Installation and Repair; Subway and Streetcar Operators; Costume Attendants; Forest Fire Inspectors and Prevention Specialists; and Airline Operation Specialists.
