The Community College Of Allegheny County ‘Launches The First Registered Apprenticeship Program For Electric Vehicle Technician In The United States’

WPXI.com reports from North Fayette Township, Pennsylvania that the Community College of Allegheny County is celebrating the opening of a new Electric Vehicle (EV) Technician Training Lab on its West Hills campus - the first Registered Apprenticeship Program for EV Technicians in the U.S.  The program will be a combination of technical instruction and paid, on-the-job training.  Its goal is to help bring more jobs to the area.  Acting U.S. Secretary of Labor Julie Su said: “This is what the opportunity infrastructure is all about and we believe that it should be available to everybody.  Part of this is that we know what a good job does for a community.  It’s not just for the family for themselves, but it really uplifts entire communities.”
