Saturday Night Live Visual Effects Workers ‘Go Union’ With IATSE - Group Of 16 VFX Artists & Leads Are Joining The Hollywood Crew Union ‘After Being Voluntarily Recognized’ By Management
Katie Kilkenny at The Hollywood Reporter reports as Saturday Night Live celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, a group of its Visual Effects Workers have organized to join one of Hollywood’s most established Unions. In 2022, Post-Production Workers who also shape the show’s pre-recorded segments Unionized with the Motion Picture Editors Guild, a National Union under the IATSE umbrella. Management voluntarily recognized that group after an independent arbitrator verified that a majority supported Unionizing through Card Check.
