Dan Groeneveld at Marquette WLUC-TV reports Iron Workers Local 8 has officially dedicated an Apprenticeship Training Center in Harvey, Michigan - which held its first classes for its 18 Apprentices this past week.  The four-year program will prepare Apprentices for all aspects of the Trade.  This project has been years in the making, Union Officials said.  The land for the center was purchased two and a half years ago, but Local 8 Business Manager Charlie Faulkner says this dedication is by no means a finish line for the Center.  He hopes it will eventually train other Building Trades and hold community events.
