(NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – Today (September 27th) through Sunday (September 29th) more than 5,000 Trades Women, along with top Labor, government and industry leaders from across North America, are in New Orleans for the 14th annual Tradeswomen Build Nations Conference.

Tradeswomen Build Nations (TWBN), hosted by North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU), is the largest annual Building Trades Conference in the world, bringing together Trades Women from the United States and Canada.

The three-day conference and the entire TWBN movement cultivate leadership, mentorship, activism and Sisterhood to address vital issues facing Trades Women worldwide.

This year’s conference theme is Let The Good Jobs Roll.

The event includes plenary sessions, workshops, panels, a banner parade and networking opportunities geared towards empowering Trades Women and developing and honing skills and knowledge to help them succeed and be fulfilled in their careers.

This year’s goal is to uplift Women in the Building Trades Industry, promote Women’s recruitment and retention, increase health and safety education and awareness, and expand Trades Women’s engagement - on the job and in our Unions.

The conference will underscore the significance of the Infrastructure Generation - this once-in-a-generation workforce being created from the unprecedented Federal policy wins delivered for Working Families in the Construction Industry - and emphasize the importance of the November Election.

NABTU is an alliance of 14 National and International Unions in the Building and Construction Industry that collectively represent more than three million Skilled Craft Professionals in the United States and Canada.
