Rowan Zeoli at Rascal reports that on the first day of Labor Day weekend (Saturday, August 31st) in the U.S. - Workers at all three Hex&Co locations held a walk out and picket in response to management’s alleged Union Busting activities. “Ownership has consistently retaliated against Workers for exercising their rights,” Tabletop Workers United stated. “Including implementing unilateral policy changes that lead to increased write-ups and discipline, as well as bullying Workers during negotiations.”  Last Fall, over 100 Employees of the three New York City-based Board Game Cafes formed Tabletop Workers United.  For the last seven months, Workers have endured a long and difficult negotiation process with joint owners Jon Freeman and Gregory May, who also independently own The Uncommons and the Brooklyn Strategist.
