‘Enough Is Enough!’ - Bird Union Members Hold Practice Picket For A Fair Contract

(NEW YORK CITY) – Communications Workers of America (CWA) Local 1180-represented Bird Union Members have been negotiating with Audubon for more than two years for their first Union contract, while Audubon has dragged their feet and made attempts to weaken the Union, including denying discretionary raises to Bird Union Members that were given to other Staff.

This follows a pattern of pay inequity and a well-documented toxic culture for Women and People of Color at Audubon that the Workers are fighting to improve.

A growing majority of Workers have now signed a strike pledge and Members recently turned out along with supporters, Elected Officials and Scabby The Rat, mobilizing for a lunchtime Practice Picket at Audubon Headquarters in Manhattan to tell management enough is enough!
