Union Coalition Of Hollywood Basic Crafts, Combining To Represent Around 8,000 Workers, Reaches Tentative Contract Agreement With The AMPTP
Katie Kilkenny at The Hollywood Reporter reports that after several suspenseful weeks, the Hollywood Basic Crafts Union Coalition has announced it has reached a tentative contract agreement with Hollywood Studios and Streamers. The deal is still subject to a ratification vote by Union Members. In a statement, Teamsters Local 399 said: After a long last 48 hours, we are PROUD to report that ALL Hollywood Basic Crafts Locals have reached a tentative agreement with the AMPTP (the Alliance Of Motion Picture and Television Producers). The Basic Crafts worked closely with our Member-led Negotiating Committees to finalize a deal with the AMPTP that we can now say is being unanimously recommended by our Member-led Bargaining Committees. The Hollywood Basic Crafts - which includes Teamsters Local 399, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 40, Laborers Local 724, United Association of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 78 and Plasterers & Cement Masons Local 755, bargains on behalf of as many as 8,000 Workers.
