LABOR NEWS UPDATE: Disneyland Unions Reach Tentative Contract Deal, Averting Strike For Now, Members To Vote On New Contract Monday
Jill Goldsmith at Deadline reports Disney Workers Rising, the Disneyland Unions’ Bargaining Group, has announced it has reached a tentative contract agreement with the company on a new three-year contract covering 14,000 Workers employed at Disneyland parks and resorts. Union Members, who will vote on the new deal Monday (July 29th), had previously authorized the group to call a Strike if no agreement was reached - the deal averts that for now. The Union posted the following on X (formerly Twitter): We achieved our goals - a 3-year contract that contains significant wage increases for all Cast Members, seniority increases and additional premiums as well as the retention of premiums. We also addressed issues that will make the attendance policy work better for Cast Members."
