The U.S. Department Of Labor ‘Certifies First’ National Appraisers Apprenticeship Program
Caresse Jackman with InvestigateTV reports the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) has signed off on the Nation’s first Appraiser Apprenticeship Program in an effort to eliminate bias when valuing home prices. The signing ceremony - held in Washington, D.C., launches the mission to recruit and train students in specialized areas, such as rural land valuation, urban property valuation and evidence-based data market analysis. The USDOL-certified program will help train the next generation of Real Estate Appraisers. Those speaking at the event said 7% of Appraisers are currently under the age of 35. With the USDOL’s approval, it allows a group called 10K Minority Appraisers to take the program across the country.
