More Than $650,000 Going To Construction Trades Apprenticeship Programs In Arizona To Support Jobs

Serena O'Sullivan at KTAR.com in Phoenix reports five Construction and Trades Apprenticeship Programs in Arizona will benefit after receiving a $650,000 Federal Grant.  The allocation is the first phase of Governor Katie Hobbs’ BuildItAZ Apprenticeship Initiative.  The program supports the expansion of Arizona’s workforce of skilled Construction Workers.  Hobbs hopes this initiative will double the number of Registered Apprentices in Construction Trades by 2026.  “From Electricians to Heavy Equipment Operators and more, Arizona needs Trades and Craftspeople to support our thriving economy,” The Governor said.  Among the five grantees that will benefit from the $650,000 infusion of funds are the Arizona Building Trades and Council.
