8,000 Communications Workers Of America-Represented Members Employed At AT&T In California & Nevada ‘Overwhelming Authorize’ Strike

In a move directly affecting 8,000 Workers in California and Nevada, Communication Workers of America (CWA)-represented Members employed at AT&T West in District 9 – which includes California and Nevada, have voted overwhelmingly to authorize a Strike, if necessary.

The current CWA-AT&T West contract expired on April 6th.

The Strike Authorization Vote results showed more than 92% of Members voting in favor.

This vote comes after months of very slow negotiations, CWA Officials said, with AT&T seeking to undermine significant wage and benefit gains from past contracts.
