Lou Baxter at Jet 24 Action News in Erie, Pennsylvania focuses a spotlight on our Skilled Workforce by interviewing Representatives of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 56, who say there is “there’s a definite need for Skilled Trades and especially Electrical Workers.” Matt Fuhrman serves as Membership Development Coordinator for Local 56 and tells Baxter that anyone who is interested can apply to the Building Trades Union’s five-year Apprenticeship Program to become a Journeyman Electrician. “With our Apprenticeship Program, you get in the field and you start earning money,” he said.
