More Than 1,000 IBEW Members In Puget Sound ‘Prepare For Potential’ Strike - Original Contract Has Expired For IBEW 46 Limited Energy Electricians & A 10-Day Extension Ends Tomorrow, April 10th

The STAND reports the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 46, which represents more than 1,000 Limited Energy Electricians in the Puget Sound area of Washington State, is preparing for a potential Strike after their current contract expired on March 31st.  The Union had agreed to a 10-day extension - which expires tomorrow (Wednesday, April 10th), while they continue to bargain over wages and quality-of-life issues.  Limited Energy Electricians install and maintain multiple life-safety systems, such as fire and security alarms, building access and HVAC controls, computers, phones, emergency radios and more.  “These Electricians deserve a contract that reflects the value of their expertise and the importance of their work,” IBEW Local 46 Business Manager/Financial Secretary said.
