‘Right-To-Work (For Less)’ Bill ‘Goes Down’ In New Hampshire’s House Of Representatives
Paula Tracy at InDepthNH.org reports from Concord, New Hampshire that a so-called Right-To-Work (For Less) Bill was defeated in the House of Representatives by a vote of 212-to-168. More than 1,400 members of the public testified or signed on to a position on the Bill over two days of testimony, and about 50 were in support of Right-To-Work. Democratic Representative Dan Leclerc said the measure is about destroying Unions and its Right-To-Work label is a misnomer. He said he has been in the Carpenters Union for 28 years and said his Father was a member of the Teamsters. Passing this Bill, Leclerc said, would reduce New Hampshire’s standards of living for its Workers.
