Unions ‘Begin Repeal Of Right-To-Work (For Less) Law’ In Michigan
Justin Kent at WILX-TV in Lansing, Michigan reports Unions in Michigan have begun the fight to repeal this State’s Right-To-Work (for less) Law that was enacted in 2012 and allows Union Workers to opt out of paying dues and fees - but still receive Union representation. Michigan AFL-CIO President Ron Bieber says the repeal effort will make things stronger for Unions - and in turn, a stronger economy: “If we want to make Michigan a place where people want to come and raise a family and build their careers for the long haul, it is critical that we have got these strong workplace protections.” Michigan now becomes the first State in 58 years to repeal a Right-To-Work (for less) Law. There are 26 States that currently still have such laws in place.
