Workers At The AKG Art Museum In Buffalo Vote To Unionize
WIVB-TV reports Workers at the Buffalo AKG Art Museum on Elmwood Avenue have voted to Unionize by a vote of 36-to-28. The Bargaining Unit includes Workers employed in the visitor experience associate department, facilities and food and beverage. The Art Gallery said it “respects the outcome of the election” and is “committed to bargaining in good faith with the Union.” After AKG Workers United petitioned for a Union Election, Museum Employees accused the Museum - which recently completed a $200 million renovation, of stalling the process and hiring a law firm known for handling Anti-Union cases.
