‘The UAW Bump’ - Tesla ‘Is Raising Factory Worker Pay’ As The UAW Attempts To Unionize Its Electric Vehicle Plants In Texas, California & Nevada
Tesla Factory Workers have been told to expect pay raises this year, a move that comes as the United Auto Workers (UAW) tries to organize the Electric Vehicle-Maker’s U.S. Plants. After winning strong contracts with Detroit’s three Automakers last year, the UAW has embarked on an effort to organize all Non-Union Auto Plants in the U.S., including Tesla’s Assembly and Battery Factories in Texas, California and Nevada. UAW President Shawn Fain calls the raises at the Non-Union Automakers the “UAW bump,” saying that they were given in an effort to thwart Union Organizing efforts.
