(THE BRONX) - Workers represented by United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 259 have gone out on Strike at City World Ford in the Bronx.

The Workers, who voted unanimously to unionize with Local 259 in July (2023), charge dealership management has repeatedly ignored the Union’s requests for information and dates to bargain.

Fed up with the response, the dozen or so Technicians and Mechanics employed there are walking the picket line outside the dealership that's located at 3305 Boston Road.

While several bargaining sessions took place throughout the Fall, those sessions “went nowhere,” Rafael Mota, a Technician and Member of the UAW Bargaining Committee, told The Chief Leader.
