32BJ SEIU-Represented Building Workers & The Realty Advisory Board Reach A Tentative Contract Agreement, ‘Just In Time To Avoid A Major Strike’
Isabel Song Beer at The Brooklyn Paper reports 32BJ Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the Realty Advisory Board reached a tentative contract agreement today (Thursday, December 28th) - ahead of the current contract’s December 31st expiration date. 32BJ SEIU represents 17,000 of New York City’s Commercial Building Cleaners. The agreement, which helped avert a historic Strike that would have affected 1,700 City buildings, including 900 buildings owned by the Realty Advisory Board, the organization that represents many of the City’s major commercial building owners, managers and cleaning contractors.
