Bruce Martin at Forbes reports on NASCAR’s Jeff Gordon and Chad Knaus, who are leading Apprenticeship effort, whose collective goal is to hire one million new Automotive and Aviation Technicians in the next five years.  National Apprenticeship Week begins today (Monday, November 13th) and Hendrick Motorsports sponsor NAPA, through the NAPA Network, has joined the Grab the Wheel Campaign by the TechForce Foundation.  From November 13th through the 30th, applicants can apply for Tech Scholarships.  Five scholarships will be awarded with a tool kit and financial contribution to begin a career as a Technician.
