(BUFFALO, NEW YORK) - Keyshawn Gault, a 22-year-old Communications Workers of America (CWA) Local 1186 Member who was employed by the City of Buffalo’s Sewer Authority, is being remembered as a sensitive young man who often put others before himself.
Mourners attended Gault’s funeral over the weekend as news came from the CWA that donations can be made to support his family at: https://everloved.com/life-of/keyshawn-gault/donate/.

On October 26th, three CWA Local 1186 Members who work at the Sewer Authority were shot while driving a work vehicle on New York Interstate 190 in Buffalo.
Gault was killed.
Two others who were treated at a Buffalo Hospital have been released.
No arrests have been made in the incident, which remains under investigation.
CWA Local 1186 President Salvatore Falzone said: “Our Co-Workers, who were violently attacked while working, are men who are loved and respected by their Co-Workers for their hard work and dedication to not only work, but to each other. The fact that they are so young is not to be overlooked either. As we continue to mourn the loss of one of our Members, we also look forward to a speedy recovery for our other Co-Workers. We would like to thank Mayor Byron Brown, the Buffalo Police Department, the New York State (Police) Troopers, and the Buffalo Sewer Authority for their help in working with us throughout this.”
CWA District 1 Vice President Dennis Trainor also released a statement: “It is incomprehensible that Buffalo has again been affected by a senseless shooting. CWA will do everything in our power to support our Members who work for the Buffalo Sewer Authority, including the victims and their families.”
