The UAW Stand-Up Strike ‘Has Spread To New York’ - Workers At A Parts Distribution Center In Rockland County Have Walked Off The Job & Assembly Plants Near Rochester & Buffalo ‘Could Soon Join The Strike’
Angela Bunay at City & State reports that while the current United Auto Workers (UAW) Strike against Ford, General Motors and Stellantis is concentrated in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, the Stand-Up Strike has now expanded to many other States, including New York. New York State’s Auto Parts Manufacturing Industry is the sixth-largest in the country, employing 9,200 Workers in 2022. UAW-represented Workers at a Parts Distribution Center in Rockland County have walked off the job and it’s been said Assembly Plants near Rochester and Buffalo “could soon join the Strike” in the not too distant future.
