Judge Rules Starbucks ‘Illegally Fired’ New York City Supervisor Over Union Activities
Jonathan Stempel at Reuters reports Starbucks violated U.S. Labor Law by firing a Manhattan Store Supervisor who had organized Workers to join a Union, a National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Judge has ruled. Carley Russell, a Lawyer for Heaton, said the decision benefits Workers seeking "more Democratic workplaces" by showing that Starbucks cannot "crush the Union with impunity."
