IBEW Local 43 In Syracuse Is Expanding Its Training Facility As An Influx Of New Construction In Central New York Gets Ready To Begin

Jack Arpey at Spectrum News in Syracuse reports on International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 43, which is expanding its Training Facility as the Building Trades Union gets its Membership ready for an influx of construction work that’s coming in Central New York.  Local 43 Business Manager Alan Marzullo says his Union will expand its Training Facility by adding 8,700 square feet.  “What the space is going to do for us is double the size of our Training Department,” he said. “With (200) Apprentices now, and we would go to a potential (400).” Among the projects prompting the IBEW’s expansion is Micron’s massive Semiconductor Plant in the town of Clay, where construction is expected to begin as early as next year.
